Bad news, it’s hardly 11. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 6ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…

Wow, we’re running a little late today. The time just flies by when the sun is out and you aren’t wishing you moved after college to a warmer climate. How was it still snowing this week? Like w’ere mid-April and we can’t break 60 degrees. What is life? Are we being punished for enjoying too many Summers in Michigan? What have we done? I just want answers….This weekend is supposed to be a beauty though. I’m planning on setting up shop on a patio somewhere and drinking an Oberon or 5. I hope you all do the same.

On a more serious note, the NFL released schedules last night, and I couldn’t be more fired up. The Lions play the Bills in Buffalo in mid-December. Honestly can’t wait to see Bills Mafia in the snow. It’s going to be WILD. Not thrilled about staying in Buffalo, but oh well, I’ll make that sacrifice in order to make this journey. Also, opening the season with a Monday Night Football game is reckless. I’ll be taking a half day in order to get downtown and get after it. I hope you all do the same and join me in what is sure to be a great tailgate.

Looping back around to the weather for a moment, it’s finally time to get your sticks out of the garage/basement/closet and hit the golf course or driving range. Nothing beats a nice Saturday morning 18 with some friends and some beers. Usually that rolls into some day drinking and then some sort of Summer activity (boating, beach, bbq, etc.) and that is the dream. So go ahead and get out there. No better time to work on that handicap than the present. Here’s a little tip, keep your clubs, shoes, and a change of clothes in your car at all times. It’s helpful on those slow days where you can just get out early and get a few swings in. Wow, just typing all that made me want to leave early today and swing the sticks. Might just do it.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this first taste of a Spring weekend. Grab your favorite beverage and enjoy it on a patio somewhere. Stay safe. I love you all.
