Bad news, it’s not even 10am. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 7 more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…
Crazy week, folks. Between recovering from the 4th and all of the crazy shit going on in the country, my head is spinning. We’re not going to touch on any of the events because we don’t have all of the facts and we aren’t in any position to be casting judgments on people for shit we don’t know anything about. Just a tragic few days. That’s all we can really say about that.
In terms of things we can comment on, the weekend of the 4th was lit to the maximum. It was chaos. It wasn’t like scary chaos, but beautiful chaos. I don’t think my body was free of alcohol until yesterday night. On top of that, we almost blew our faces off with fireworks on the 3rd. Totally makes sense why they were illegal until a few years ago. Kinda lucky, actually. Like, we definitely could’ve died when the firework fell over and launched sideways instead of up into the air. Haha classic. Oh well, a few dozen bud lights cured any worry that I had. Overall, it was just a really American weekend. Grilled every day, drank a ton of beer, went swimming, went to the beach, ripped some pops at the bar while listening to live music. I could go on and on, but you get the point.
It’s supposed to be a decent weekend down in my neck of the woods. You can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be at the pool tomorrow. Just hoping it doesn’t rain. That would be unfortunate, but I mean I’ll be out there anyway. I’ll have my swimsuit on so I’m not worried about a little moisture. Might toss a few cold ones back too, ya never know. We’ll be back in the fold a little more next week with some content. Had to take a break this week to recover and gather ourselves. Consider it a bye week of sorts. Well, if you’re in Royal Oak tonight/this weekend, drop me a line and we’ll get saucy. If you don’t know how to go about doing that, you can snap @dirtydavey69 to find out the answer.
On to the tunes.
I’ve been on the hunt for this first song for a while. Could never find a version on youtube until today. Kinda excited about it, to be honest. Such a solid summertime jam.
Second song is just a heater. That’s it and that’s all. Breezy just doesn’t miss. It doesn’t happen and this is a perfect example of that. If this doesn’t get you ready to dance your face off at 5th Ave, you’re a liar.
PS – You can find more heaters like the one above on Stylin Milan’s Spotify Playlist. Don’t say I’ve never done anything for you.
PPS – I’m assuming everyone who clicks that link has a Spotify account. If you don’t, that’s on you.
