Friday Pick-me-up

Bad news, it’s not even 10am. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 7 more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…

To say I’m disappointed in myself would be a drastic understatement. I pride myself on quality. What I delivered last Friday was the exact opposite of what I’d expect from myself. Just absolute ass. Good news is, we have a chance to make up for that. Today is a glorious day, my friends. Football is back. Yeah, it’s preseason. Yeah, teams were playing yesterday. Yeah, they’ve been practicing for a few weeks now. Yeah, football has been back. I don’t care. THE GOD DAMN DETROIT LIONS OPEN THEIR PRESEASON SCHEDULE TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s 13 exclamation points for the 13 regular season wins that Matt Stafford will lead the Lions to this year. This shit fires me right up. I’m not sure I should even be at work today. Might just walk out and catch a quick flight to Pittsburgh to catch the game. IDK it just seems right. I’ve never been more fired up for a meaningless game.

I fully plan on cracking at least 12 Natty Lights, playing PGA on PS4, and watching the Lions dominate tonight. If you can’t get on board with that, you need to evaluate your priorities. For all of you out there saying, Natty Light is for kids. Natty Light sucks. Natty Light is the worst beer ever. Let me tell you something…you’re dead ass wrong (DAW, if you will). If it sucked ass, would SMYLIE KAUFMAN be endorsing it? Probably not. So get over yourself and your $30 4-pack of craft beer. Live a little one time for me.

Anyway, on to the music you can enjoy while crushing a natty light.

First up, just a great jam. Gets me fired up every time I hear it. The first in a long line of great songs from Zac Brown Band. Still pissed I missed this concert on St. Patty’s Day weekend back in ’09. Literally will haunt me until the day I die.

Next up, is a complete change of pace. Heard this one on the radio coming in today and knew that it had to be featured.
