Friday Pick-me-up

Bad news, it’s not even 10 am. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 7ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…

It’s been a long week, folks. I worked a full week for the first time in who knows how long. Really scary stuff. Good news though, it’s Friday. This isn’t your ordinary Friday. This is the Friday before Halloween. Everyone knows what that means. Time to pull your costume out, meet up with friends, and drink your faces off. Quick sidebar, what do people who don’t drink do on Halloween? I’m legitimately curious. Just seems like it would be a really boring time. I don’t know, maybe that’s just the alcoholic in me talking.

Anyway, it’s going to be a busy weekend. First off, I’d like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Chuck. With your help, we found him. Really thrilled about that. He promised me he will come back with a vengeance which fired me right up. Also, shout out to my man at Rojo last night who got our table a deal on the Quesadilla meals. Really a clutch move on his part. On top of Halloween madness, we’ve got ourselves a football game in East Lansing. I try to stay indifferent on these things since I don’t really have a horse in the race, but I like Michigan a lot here. Don’t really see how the #SpartanDawgs can come out on top. Jim Harbaugh owns real estate in the heads of 95% of East Lansing’s population and that’s going to work out in his favor this weekend.

After that, we’ve got a Red Wings matchup against the Bruins. Really wish I could make it, but I’ll be busy recovering/continuing to drink from the football game. On Tuesday, for those of you who don’t know, we were able to get on the ice and play some bubble hockey at the intermission. We were pretty nervous considering we are unathletic, washed up, has beens/never weres, but we battled and absolutely dominated the other guys. They didn’t really stand a chance with NJ7 out there taking kids heads off and sniping goals left and right. All I could do was watch. It was a performance that will for sure go down in the record books.

Not really sure how that last paragraph was relevant to anything, oh well. I hope to see you spooky bastards out in Royal Oak on your worst behavior tonight/tomorrow night. The weather is supposed to be great, so that means that I’ll put on my sluttiest costume and strut my stuff at 5th Ave. I hope to see you all there.

BEFORE I GET TO THE MUSIC I HAVE AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT.

We teamed up with Lights Alive Apparel and are running a Halloween costume contest. Winner will get a sweet prize package. I’m not going to divulge the contents of the package because there is no final consensus on what will be included, I just know it will be sweet. So tweet/instagram/facebook your pictures and tag us so we can pick a winner early next week. More details will be coming later this afternoon. Just needed to give you guys a heads up because you’ve earned that for reading this far.

ON TO THE MUSIC.

First up is just an absolute classic. I love Katy Perry. If you don’t, I assume you have no soul and hate all of the good things in life.

Second song is what the kids call a heater. Just let it play.
