Friday Pick-me-up

Bad news, it’s hardly 10. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 7ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…

Last Pick-me-up of the year! What a wonderful thing, folks. I would normally sit here and write some sort of quasi meaningful blah blah blah but the point is, I’ve got to hit the road. Going to Chicago for NYE. Something about an open bar and a tuxedo just seems right. So I’m sure we’ll attempt to have some sort of rundown of our resolutions for the new year, but that will come later. I hope to God (Flying Spaghetti Monster) that most of you don’t actually have to work today. When I say most of you, I’m talking about the 5 people who actually read this. No biggie, but I see the stats. I’m over it. Whatever. I’ll take that over 0 I guess.

Anyway, it’s been a decent year. Won’t say great, won’t say terrible. I mean George Michael just died so that’s still weighing heavily on my mind and tilting me towards the “This year was absolute shit” side. But on the other hand, the Wings are still good, the Tigers are a contender, the Lions have huge lead in the NFC North, Johnny Football is off drugs, and alcohol is still good.

I hope whatever you’re doing to celebrate the new year, you black out and make terrible decisions that you’ll regret for the rest of the year. Also, I’d like to send an early RIP to all of the New Year’s resolutions that will make it a day or two.

First song is the most played song in my Spotify playlist from 2016. I’m sure this is a trend that will continue into 2017 and beyond.

Second song is another great one to come out of my top songs of 2016 from Spotify. Really gets me going and makes me think about the important things in life.

PS – 2017 is going to be the year of the DM the Details merch. Details soon come.
