Bad news, it’s hardly 10. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 7ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…

We’ve made it. It was a short week, but it seemed like it went on forever. Let’s give ourselves a round of applause here. We deserve it. What a wild and crazy week. We had the kickoff of the college football season and now we’ve got ourselves some meaningful NFL football. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE LIONS TO WIN 10 GAMES THIS YEAR. Book it. I don’t even know where the 10 wins are going to come, but I just like it. They’ll win 10, then lose by 40 in a playoff game. You heard it here first.

Records don’t matter though. I’m here for the tailgates. You can catch me in an alley in Detroit all morning. Nothing beats the smell of piss in the streets mixed with BBQ and beer at 8AM. If you haven’t tailgated a Lions game in a blizzard, I’m not sure you can actually call yourself a Lions fan. Thankfully the conditions are looking a little nicer on Sunday than they will on December 31st.

Also, fun fact, SUMMER IS NOT OVER. So let’s stop acting like it’s Fall. I mean this is clearly a government tactic to get us to buy more Pumpkin Spice Lattes. We’ve got ourselves nearly 2 more weeks of Summer. Don’t throw in the towel yet. Hold on to it. Don’t let it go. Once it’s gone, it will be a miserable 9 months until it’s warm again. So let’s embrace the remainder of this glorious season. Get out there and just send it. Rip that gainer you’ve been wanting to try off the cliff. Cannonball into your neighbor’s pool one last time. Spend all day on a boat. Fill a cup with liquor and head to the beach for a nice midday blackout.

Anyway, I’ve got myself a nice little weekend planned. Start it off with a tour of Little Caesar’s Arena, see my friend Bob Seger in the middle, and end it with the Lions game. Hope to see some of you beauties somewhere in between all of the madness.

HAVE A HELL OF A SUMMER WEEKEND

First up, we’ve got ourselves a little Seger. The guy is a Michigan legend. Can’t wait to catch him on the hill at Pine Knob DTE this weekend.

Second we’ve got more Seger. Guy just kills it. Did I say I’m fired up to see him yet? Because I am.
