March 17th

It’s that time of year again, kids. Time to throw on your green shirt and head to the bar for some green beer and March Madness action. St. Patrick’s Day is one of my favorite days. Not because of the excessive drinking (which I do love as well), but because it signals a turning point. The point at which we can put away our winter clothes and pull out our tank tops and shorts. It’s spring break season. It’s grilling season (unless your landlord tries enforcing a made up fire code that you don’t plan on actually following). The golf courses are almost ready for me to shoot 120. What a beautiful day.

Jk it’s all about the drinking. So throw on your best pair of green pants, watch Leprechaun in Mobile, Alabama, rip the knob off some Dropkick Murphys, and get your hands on some green beer. Let me remind you, St. Patrick’s Day is a sprint. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It’s just a really, really long sprint. Don’t ignore the usefulness of the puke and rally. It’ll be your best friend around 3pm. Never give up. Never surrender.

I’ll see you all at the bar this afternoon.

PS – If this song doesn’t get you fired up for some car bombs and green beer, you need to check your pulse.
