Bad news, it’s not even 10 am. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 7ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…

Think about that quote for a second.

Okay, cool. This truly is a great time to be alive. The Lions have somehow found themselves in first place, the Tigers didn’t dismantle their team at the winter meetings, the Wings are getting a new arena, and the Pistons are coming back to the city. Really can’t find any reason to complain whatsoever. It’s basically an early Christmas if you’re a Detroit sports fan.

On top of that, this weekend represents everything that I love about being an “adult” around Christmas. This weekend is the Royal Oak Santacrawl. Really a spectacular event. Can’t wait to throw on an ugly sweater and Santa hat and stumble in and out of bars with thousands of lovely people. Really brings the community together and makes you realize what the holidays are all about.

Outside of that, the Lions and Wings both play on Sunday. Back to back. I’ve got tickets to both and I plan on getting respectably drunk. Charles will be with me, so hopefully we’ll get some good content. I want to have him race other white guys in the street to prove that he is, in fact, the fastest white guy in the tri-state area. But we’ll see. If he doesn’t do it, I will. Bet on that.

First song is just a club classic. I can’t describe what this does to my mind when I hear it. I just want to start dancing.

Next song is a personal favorite of the DM the Details guys. I legitimately can’t remember the last time I heard this and didn’t think of Dave. I’m sure he’s listening to this wherever he is right now.
