Bad news, it’s hardly 9. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 8ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…
It’s Friday the 13th. Am I superstitious? Absolutely. Does that make me crazy? No. I’m not saying I’m trying to lock myself inside to prevent the possibility of me being hit by a car (fun fact: a car could drive through your front door and still hit you), but I’m going to be taking some extra precaution when going about my routine. Let’s say I go to Fifth Ave tonight…I’ll take 2 shots of Fireball instead of 4 shots of Patron. That’s the kind of responsibility I’m talking about. I will also be avoiding any places named Crystal Lake…for obvious reasons. I suggest you do the same.
Anyway, we finally got our first taste of warm weather yesterday. Thankfully that will be gone before I hit publish on this bad boy. I can already feel the rain creeping in. I think that’s a side-effect of falling off of a roof. Not sure. I’m going to regret not going to the driving range yesterday when I had the chance, I know it. This is what happens, I get my hopes up for patio day drinking and golf, and then Mother Nature reminds me that I live in Michigan and ruins that. I’m sure it will be at least another 3-4 weeks before we can enjoy nice weather again. RIP to Spring (4/12/2018 – 4/13/2018).
While I don’t normally advocate sitting inside and drinking all day, this might be a good weekend for it. The weather is going to be trash. However, we’ve got a little NHL playoff action and that is a gift from the merciful gods who have seen us suffer for so long this “Spring”. So crack open a beer or pour yourself a cocktail and enjoy some playoff hockey. We don’t know what that’s like in Detroit anymore because the Red Wings are not good. Oh well, at least there’s always hope for the Pistons Tigers Lions.
I hope whatever you do, you’re enjoying yourself. Have a nice little weekend and just remember that there will eventually be a light at the end of this tunnel that we call “Spring” in Michigan. Hopefully we get there sooner rather than later. Until then, stay hashtag super blessed.
On to the music.
First up, we’ve got ourselves a a personal favorite of mine from Luke Combs. The guy is great. Saw him live and he was dynamite.
New Drake, that’s all I have to say about this.
Here’s one that I hope you will all be able to relate to tomorrow morning.
