Bad news, it’s hardly 10. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 7ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…

 

Well, it looks like we finally did it…Winter is dead. Murdered. I’m confident that we can actually say that and mean it this time. Like there’s no White Walker action here. Winter is not coming back, not on my watch.  I think this calls for a celebration. After all, what would all of this battling and shit talking be worth if we didn’t celebrate the demise of our common enemy? That’s what I thought. So find the closest patio bar and grab yourself a cold beverage. It’s time to celebrate.

Speaking of celebrating, it’s one of the best weekends of the year. We’ve got the NFL Draft (I’m still trying to figure out who the Lions drafted. I’ll have a breakdown later), the NHL Lottery announcement (the Wings are going to get fucked), NBA playoffs, and the NHL playoffs (Go Vegas). Then we’ve got ourselves a nice little horse race next weekend. What a time to be alive. Nothing better than a little patio day drinking followed up with a few pops during the games.

If you aren’t a sports person, get outside and do something. We’ve been waiting months for this, so go enjoy it. We all know it won’t last. We’ve seen it 1000 times. Personally, I think we should all just move to a place that is always warm. That’s not possible, so I guess we’ll just make due with the 2 months of nice weather we get. Anyway, if you aren’t trying to watch any sporting events here’s a list of things you could do:

I’ll be pulling myself into Ubers all weekend so I hope to catch some of you beauties out there. Put your outdoor drinking pants on and get yourself the biggest beverage you can. I really wish we could bring in 64oz mugs and just have bars fill them up like it was 7/11. That would be neat. Anyway, I’ll be making due with my overpriced pint glass of whatever is on special.

First and foremost, Post Malone released a new album today. Go listen to that before you do anything else. I’m a huge Post Malone guy. So go do that now. Thanks.

At publishing time last week, we didn’t know about Avicii’s passing. I’m not sure we’ve really been listening to a whole lot else this past week. Really a bummer. The news came out yesterday that he took his own life. Not trying to get heavy or anything, but there’s always a better alternative. If you ever need help, talk to someone. It’s not worth it. It sucks that we won’t be able to really feel the excitement of opening Spotify to find a new Avicii song in the New Music Friday playlist. Anyway, in honor of Avicii, we’re going to dedicate this segment to our favorite songs of his.
