Friday Pick-me-up

Bad news, it’s hardly 10. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 7ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…

Oh boy. It’s that time of the week again. Friday. The most wonderful day of the week. The Lions have a new draft pick (Slept on it, not pissed about it now). The sun is shining (for the time being).  The line at Starbucks wasn’t an hour long (because I was late). I have a tee time tomorrow (because it’s before 9 am). Really just great stuff all around.

I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge Julius, our newest blogger/rugby enthusiast/camp counselor/man of the people/Jesus?/man child embracing the blog life. Last night he pumped out some Grade A content with the Draft Drinking Guide. Unbelievable. I spit out my coffee, and I wasn’t even drinking any. On top of that, he played along. I consider myself to be a bit of an alcoholic, and I tried to keep up. I was feeling it after the 8th or 9th pick. Julius? No. He’s a different breed. He just kept going. Trade after trade went down and the shots followed. He’s a man of his word. High pride guy. Need that around here. Love it.

Anyway, it’s supposed to be rainy this weekend, so we will be moving the Spikeball indoors. We’ve got some room in our garage so I think we can make it work. Who knows? I know one thing, I’ll be tossing a few pops back, praying to the gods that the Lions don’t do something stupid during the draft. I have a lot of faith in Quinn, but I’m also not stupid and I’ve seen too many dumb picks to be drawn into some sort of sense of security.

With that, have yourself a weekend. Check out the drinking game that Julius put together (I linked it above) and enjoy the draft. Even if you hate football, it’s a neat way to kill time and get drunk.

On to the music.

Is Biebs back? Yeah, he’s back. Here’s anotha one

It’s basically May. This song has May in the title. It’s also great.
