Bad news, it’s hardly 10. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 7ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…

Well, folks, we’ve got ourselves a little snowmageddon on our hands. Really glad to have you all here to experience this with me. As countless kids are building snowmen and tuning into The Jerry Springer Show, I’m sitting here just hammering away at the blog. That’s because the blog life does not sleep. It does not stop for snow. It sure as shit does not postpone itself due to road conditions. So here we are, grinding. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get down to business. We’re going to get killed (not literally guys, just in the sense that this snow will be a bad situation) in the metro Detroit area this weekend. Although, that snow might lead to actual deaths from drinking too much fireball to stay warm. Please don’t do that. There’s a fine line between warmth and death. It’s a slippery slope, so just use your best judgment out there.

I’m not mad about the snow if we’re being honest here. I’m just going to go about my normal truck guy activities just like every other day. I won’t shy away from this challenge. I’m going to face it head on, just like every other truck guy should do and will do. Might head up to Pine Knob and hit the slopes. No point in running from the snow. Might as well embrace it and welcome it. I’ve come to terms with the fact that we’ll never see Summer again, so the sooner we can all accept that, the better off we’ll be.

Lost in all of this is the beginning of the Winter Olympics. Really excited if I’m being honest. I watched some curling action last night and let me tell you, I was juiced. Can’t even imagine how fired up I’ll be when it comes to some of the other events like the biathalon, short track speed skating, and the nordic combined. Talk about excitement! I like the USA to win everything. That’s just a prediction. Don’t hold me to it, but if you need to hold me to it, go ahead.

Stay warm this weekend. Drink responsibly. Don’t drink and drive.
