Bad news, it’s hardly 10. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 7ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…

We’ve come to the end of another seemingly endless week. I’m glad we all made it through this together. Can’t really say the same for Winter. Looks like the groundhog was wrong. As far as I’m concerned it’s Spring right now. I’m a little upset that my favorite watering holes aren’t as optimistic as I am and refuse to open their patio seating just yet. Nothing says Spring like having a few cocktails on the patio of your favorite bar at 1PM on a Saturday. I know as soon as the lawn chairs are set up around downtown Royal Oak, I’ll be first in line to get a nice cold beverage. Until then, I guess I’ll just set up shop in my back yard with a lawn chair and a case of Michelob Ultra.

Speaking of weekend plans, we’ve got ourselves a nice little 3 day weekend coming up. I mean I have one. I guess not everyone is kind enough to give thanks and celebrate President’s Day. What better way to do that than cracking open a case of beer and watching NASCAR this weekend? I know that’s what I’ll be doing. I encourage you all to do the same. NASCAR really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. I actually enjoy it. I started watching it a few years ago as a joke, but I soon realized how great it actually was, now I’m hooked. I’m not even mad about it.

I’m not entirely positive what’s going on with the Winter Olympics. Are we winning? No idea. I know the Americans dominated in snowboarding. That’s about all I’ve got for you in terms of an Olympic recap. Sorry. I’ll be better.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy your lovely 3 day weekend. Those of you that can’t sleep in on Monday should just figure out a way to fit 3 days worth of fun into 2. I’m sure it won’t be that hard. Just grab yourself a coffee and get to it.
