Bad news, it’s hardly 11. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 6ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…
First off, hand up, yesterday was my fault. I got way too cocky and laughed in Winter’s face. I claimed Winter was dead. Done for. Nope, I was wrong. Yesterday Winter climbed out of its casket for one last beat down. It reminded me of the time the Undertaker rose from the dead on live tv. Scary stuff. Anyway, I just wanted to get that off my chest. It’s been killing me.
Luckily, it’s going to be in the mid 40s for the next few days so hopefully this snow will melt and we can get back to planning our first patio drinking days of the year. Nice weather isn’t the only thing rolling into town this weekend. Our beloved 3rd leg of the tripod, Jules, is coming to town. Now I can sit here and make promises that we will deliver content (I promise we will), but I know you won’t believe me. The truth is, we’re going to get a little tuned up, so I’m hoping we can capture that beauty in the form of a blog.
Also, let me take a moment to apologize for the delay this morning. Dave and I were up until the early morning hours losing to kids in NHL 18 shoot outs. We were drowning our misery in Natural Light and Slim Jims. What a scene. My table looked like a crime scene. Anyway, I’ve been snoozing for a while and I’ll take the blame for this (common theme here).
I hope to see you beauties out this weekend. Get yourselves out there and practice for St. Practice Day (next weekend tyvm). Gotta get the body ready for that shit show.
Thank you. God bless.
On to the music.
First up, we’ve got an absolute classic. Fun fact, this was the song of the decade in the UK.
Next we’ve got a new little toe tapper from our friends of Rae Sremmurd
Finally we’ve got a song that is probably a regular feature upstairs at Fifth. Not even mad about it.
PS – Bonus song: a neat little tune from our favorite artist
