Bad news, it’s not even 9. Good news, it’s Friday! Only 8ish more hours until you can celebrate your short lived freedom. Whether you were crunching numbers or digging ditches, celebrate the fact that you made it through another grueling work week. At the end of the day, we’re all just doing one thing anyway…
We’ve reached another Friday. We can all relax (unless your bracket is busted and Arizona cost you a ton of money). There’s a lot to celebrate this weekend. It’s the real St. Patrick’s Day. It’s the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. It’s the middle of March (so in theory the weather should be getting warmer). Oberon is almost back. Wow, things are looking up for us. Let’s dive in.
First of all, St. Practice Day was great, but I’m really excited to see what we can do tomorrow for the real thing. Training wheels are off. The dress rehearsals are over. This is where champions rise above the rest. I’ll be sure to drink my fair share of Guinness and Jameson. Word on the street is that Renshaw is opening at 7am. That’s so reckless, but I love it and support it. I’m sure I could get there at 7 and stay until 2 am without a single issue. As long as I can drink and watch a little basketball I’ll be fine. Also, I feel like all of these people appropriating Irish culture is a little offensive, but it’s ok. I’m not going to get upset about that, because that’s not who I am. I’ll just let it go because it’s really not worth getting upset about. See how easy that was? Weird.
Something that I can get upset about is March Madness. My bracket took a hit in the later slate of games yesterday. Not ideal. I’m not out, but I’m not in 1st. I also seemed to bet on every game that was fucked. How does Radford not cover 23? I think they were down 23 in the first half. They need to close up shop and shut the program down forever. Also, Arizona, what the fuck was was that? Really took a hit there. Oh well, there’s always today. And tomorrow. And Sunday. Wow, I love March Madness. So many opportunities to lose money. Really gets the blood pumping and makes you feel alive.
One quick note on the weather. In 2012, it was like 70 degrees on St. Patrick’s Day. This is bull shit.
Podcast is getting closer and closer to being ready for release. I’m working on trying to get some editing software for a podcast. Maybe I’m just dumb and could be doing this without any additional software. If it’s the latter or you have any suggestions for the former, please let me know. I’m hoping to have it wrapped up this weekend and ready for you beauties next week.
Have a great weekend, folks. It’s one of the few times of the year where being blackout drunk in the middle of the day and putting your savings on a 12/5 upset is socially acceptable. Don’t make bad choices (drinking and driving) and enjoy life. It’s easier when you try to do that.
Have a Guinness or 10 for me. I’ll do the same for you.
On to the music.
This has become sort of a St. Patrick’s Day tradition around here. Turn this up to 11 all day Saturday and I promise you’ll have a great time.
